Judicial spouses should of course have whatever jobs they want. But the public should have more information as to whether those jobs might pose a conflict to their wives' or husbands' judicial work.
It is very much in line with the Court’s heightened self-importance — how it sees itself as an infallible, impenetrable priesthood too good for basic accountability measures — that it would throw untold resources to investigate something that is almost assuredly unknowable.
