Justices Head to East Asia, South Florida, Northwest D.C. Over Long Break

With a 33-day break between arguments, the justices current and former are fanning out across the globe – or at least across the nation’s capital for some – for speaking engagements, teaching opportunities and lecture.

Though the SCOTUS press office does not release the justices’ public schedules, and none of the justices has a traveling press corps like the President or presidential candidates, we do have SCOTUS Map, a website that tracks the nine (well, the 12, as it includes the retired three) and they leave One First Street and make appearances the world over.

Some highlights: Justice Scalia will be in Hong Kong and Singapore, Justice Sotomayor will be visiting kids in the Bronx, Justice Stevens will take in some rays in Coral Gables, Fla., and Justice Ginsberg will be at Brandeis University to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the SCOTUS nomination of the school’s namesake.
