As we close out 2025, we're looking back on the wins and losses and include a few ethics stories whose final chapter remains to be told.
Instead of having complaints against magistrates be screened by the independent commission, they're being reviewed by the very judges who oversee and work closely with them. That's not a best practice, and at a time when the state is already updating its judicial codes, this change should be made, as well.
