Ketanji Brown Jackson

Ketanji Brown Jackson was born in Washington, D.C., on September 14, 1970. Raised in Miami, she received her undergraduate and law degrees from Harvard University. After law school, she had three federal clerkships, including one for Justice Stephen Breyer. She worked in private practice and as a public defender before, in 2013, she became a judge on the D.C. District Court. In 2021 she was elevated to the D.C. Circuit, and on June 30, 2022, she was sworn in as a Supreme Court justice.
