Statement from FTC’s Gabe Roth following the release of new Supreme Court oral argument rules that do not mention livestreaming, which the court has said it will continue at least through the end of the calendar year:

“The Supreme Court could have stated today that live audio would be a permanent feature of its oral arguments. Instead, it included no references to livestreaming.

“The omission suggests that backsliding to week’s-end audio releases could happen post-pandemic. That would be an awful development that anyone who has a justice’s ear must forcefully oppose.”
