Would SCOTUS Have Allowed an ASL Signer for Case on Deaf Drivers?
A Supreme Court case out of Texas was removed from the docket last week without explanation.
The petitioners, five deaf teenagers and young adults, had asked the state for accommodations that would assist them with getting driver’s licenses, and the state had demurred.
Our question: would the justices have allowed an ASL signer in the courtroom during oral argument? We hope they would have.
