Pro-Con: Should Cameras Be Allowed in Courtrooms?

cameraWell, yes, generally – though it often depends on what the circumstances of the hearing are, if it’s an appeal and if the due process of those involved can be maintained.

Here’s our take from a recent article in the Victoria (Tex.) Advocate:

“If you’re a law student or an attorney and you want to learn about the most important legal issues of the day, you shouldn’t have to take off work or school, fly to D.C., find a hotel, wake up at 4 a.m. and stand in line for six hours to be able to see the top people working in your profession doing their job, especially when the profession is paid for by your taxes,” [Fix the Court’s Gabe] Roth said.
