National Law Journal: Explaining Justice Alito's "Unrecusal"
As we continue to pore over the justices’ financial disclosure reports, here’s a smart piece from the National Law Journal on the reason Justice Samuel Alito had recused himself from 2014’s POM Wonderful LLC v. The Coca Cola Company case. Turns out he owned stock in Coke, which, thanks to his disclosure report, we now know he sold in April 2014 in order to be able to hear the case.
